The Urban Scholars Program began the 2008 season with the 4th annual Economic Development Workshop & Retreat, hosted by BGE.
Highlighting the Workshop was a special etiquette training session from Bank of America’s Becky Pitts. The Workshop was also fortunate to have Lisa Harris-Jones of the Harris-Jones Law Firm as its keynote speaker.
The new season for 2008 has begun fundraising in earnest with the goal of funding three classes of students and providing paid internships for the summer of 2008. See the Urban Scholars Program for more details.

The National Security Scholars Program will hold its annual dinner for the NSSP awardees for the 2008-2009 academic year. The $15,000 scholarship award winners will be treated to a grand evening in Baltimore at McCormick & Schmick’s, courtesy of Booz Allen Hamilton!
Several new partners including ManTech and SI International will be in attendance.
