Since the tragic events of September 11th, the Homeland Security field has become even more important to our nation. The attacks and their continuing aftermath underscore the new complexities of achieving security in an open, networked world and the need for employees who can quickly and critically analyze challenges, carefully weigh evidence and effectively communicate all of which are attributes of a liberal arts education.
The I-Fund’s Homeland Security Initiative was established to help support talented young men and women on I-Fund member campuses who have demonstrated an interest in serving their country through work in the Homeland Security industry.
