Business & Leadership Scholarships

Leadership Scholarships: $5,000

Scholarships are awarded on all 10 campuses to students with financial need who demonstrate leadership potential. This scholarship is annually named in honor of an outstanding individual from the business community selected by the I-Fund Board of Directors to receive The I-Fund’s “Leadership Award.”

• Student must have a minimum GPA of 3.2
• Student must exhibit OUTSTANDING leadership qualities on campus and/or in the community
• Attendance at the annual Evening of Excellence with the student’s College President
• Thank you letters are required

T. Rowe Price Foundation Scholarships: $4,500

• Student must have a minimum GPA of 3.0
• Student must exhibit OUTSTANDING leadership qualities on campus and/or in the community
• Demonstrate financial need
• Are permanent residents of Maryland
• Thank you letters are required

Legg Mason Scholarships: $2,000

• Student must be a rising junior or senior
• Student must have a minimum GPA of 3.0
• Student must be majoring in business or have a demonstrated interested in financial services
• Thank you letters are required

BB&T Scholarships: $2,000

• Student must be a rising junior or senior
• Student must have a minimum GPA of 3.0
• Student should be pursuing a degree in a business related major or have a demonstrated interest in a business-related career OR student should have 6 credit hours of accounting plus a demonstrated interest in financial accounting
• Thank you letters are required

Special Note: BB&T is looking for students who may be candidates for its Management Training Program following graduation.

Chevy Chase Scholarships: $2,000

• Student must have a minimum GPA of 3.0
• Student must be majoring in or have a demonstrated interest in business management, finance, accounting, sales or marketing
• Student must be a rising sophomore, junior, or senior
• Student may have an opportunity to participate in a paid internship with Chevy Chase Bank
• Thank you letters are required
