Mission

We support independent thinking through liberal arts education. Our mission is to raise funds for I-Fund member colleges — principally from businesses and foundations — for scholarships, programs and technology, and to promote a greater awareness of the value of Maryland’s independent liberal arts colleges and universities.

Purpose

• Expand educational opportunities to diversify leadership in the civic, corporate and political communities
• Strengthen the democratic process by preparing people to reason and discern truth
• Enrich the learning environment by providing support for new programs, technologies and other resources
